No Fuss Standard Murphy Bed

For those looking to add an additional sleeping area, without losing out on a workspace or storage space during the day, install a standard Murphy bed in an extra bedroom, living room, or game room. This can be great solution if you have children returning home for a temporary stay or for guests. This type of model is sleek so it won’t be an eyesore. Surrounding shelving and cabinets are great for storing games, books, and mementos.

Our library bookshelf model is another popular choice. The additional shelves provide more storage and help conceal the bed unit. Simply slide the bookshelves to reveal the bed. In-cabinet lighting can be installed to provide light for reading or relaxing when the bed is down.

Special Styles – Horizontal or Murphy Bed and Sofa

Horizontal Murphy beds are popular, especially for those with smaller spaces. The orientation often means that the bed can fit into smaller rooms and spaces. Other popular configurations include a sofa with a wall bed. Murphy beds that sit on top of a sofa when opened are particular useful if the bed will be installed in a living room or media room. When the bed is not in use, a comfortable sofa can be used. The sofa fabric can be customized.

Custom Desk With Bed

For those who are looking to maximize their office during the day, but have the option to offer a guest room, combining a desk and wall bed is the perfect solution. There are a wide array of layout options including having a separate desk area from the wall bed (normally, they are installed on opposite walls). Attaching the bed unit to an office storage area is also common as shown above. When you work with Closet & Storage Concepts, everything is customized to fit your needs and design style to combine function and style.
