Custom laundry solutions NevadaOur lives are so busy that we often neglect things until we get sick of staring at the chaos before us and force ourselves to do something about it. This is probably a familiar scenario for most people when it comes to their bedroom closets. It’s so much easier to toss things there, but eventually, the mess makes it impossible to find the things you need and want to see.

Now that Spring is here, it’s time to think about those neglected cleaning projects and put them at the top of your Spring Cleaning To-Do List. And by cleaning out and reorganizing your closet, you’ll be prepared to have us create a custom closet organizing system that will inspire you to keep it need at tidy all the time.

Here are some tips to help you prepare for a closet renovation.

Start With Three Piles: Donate, Keep, Maybe

Start by taking everything out of the closet. If you have out of season clothing packed away in boxes, take that out too. You’ll be going through everything to get rid of stuff you don’t like, things you don’t wear, and stuff that’s no longer in style.

There is no point in keeping thins you don’t like or wear because they’re just taking up space in your closet.

Create three piles and take three 30-gallon garbage bags to put the clothing in. Make three labels using a permanent marker. One tag will bear the word “Keep.” Write the word “Donate” on the second label, and the word “Maybe” on the third label.

As you go through every article of clothing, place it in one of the three piles so you can deal with the piles individually later.

Separate Clothing into Seasonal Piles

Placing your clothing into separate piles according to the season may help you get a better idea as to how useful various items are. It may also jostle your memory enough to get you to think about how often you last wore each piece.

How to Organize Clothing As You Put it Back in the Closet

When it comes to organizing your clothing, it can be helpful to keep similar items together. Lump pants together, shirts together, dresses together, jackets, sweaters, and so on. That way, when you’re looking for a particular item, you will have no problem finding it.

Take the pile you designate for donation to someplace like Goodwill or the Salvation Army. Your donation will help people in need.

Our Closet & Storage Concepts experts will create a custom storage system that will ensure that your closet gives you the efficiency you need for the way you live.
