At Closet & Storage Concepts Northern New Jersey, we want to help you make the most of your home. If your project isn’t as clear cut as a custom closet or pantry shelves, we may still be able to help. We can build custom cabinets and hutches for entryways, living rooms, dining rooms or any other space. Explore some of your design options below.
Layout & Design
Determining a design for a smaller piece of custom cabinetry can be harder than you think. You have limited space to store or display your items. In addition, you want to be sure the built-ins match your existing interior design. Luckily, your Closet & Storage Concepts designer will be there to help you find the most functional layout. We work with all types of clients and projects. If you already know what you’re looking for or need additional guidance, we’ll be there every step of the way.
Cabinets, Shelving, Drawers
Hutches usually utilize a combination of shelving and drawers. We also see a combination of enclosed and open shelving. Varying shelf and drawer heights and depths should be used to make the most of your space.
Different drawer and shelf depths can be interchanged to store different items. Smaller electronics, for example, can be contained in shallower drawers. A stereo system or game console usually requires a deeper shelf or cabinet. Cabinets and shelves can be built to use an entire wall if desired.
Styling Options
Small hutches and cabinets still have a wide variety of style options, just like bigger projects. Consider the following:

Cabinetry Styles
From flat panels to more intricate raised options, choose a cabinet style for your needs. We even offer glass inserts for a modern, light feeling in your space.
Color & Finish
From classic white to more exotic woods, our designers can match your cabinets to existing furniture and décor!
Tabletop Material & Color
Cabinets and hutches can be customized with a countertop of your choosing. You can choose from different materials and colors to match your decor.
Hardware & Extra Details
Toe kicks, moldings, and hardware complete a unit. You’ll have multiple metallic finishes and colors to choose from to coordinate with your new cabinet units.
