Lighting can plan an important role in your closet in terms of functionality and design. No matter if you prefer a modern look or something more rustic and traditional, lighting can increase visibility making it easy to locate your items and set a mood.
When it came to this local closet project in the Phoenix area, lighting was used intentionally to provide brightness and call attention to the main section of the closet.
The main lighting source in this walk-in closet comes from recessed lights. However, because of their placement, it could be tough to see everything. Cove (also known as valance) lighting was chosen for the upper shelves of the center section of the closet system to brighten up the space and highlight some of our client’s favorite items and accessories. Our LED strips are energy efficient, beautiful, and integrate right into the closet system.
A gorgeous chandelier with crystals adds sparkle and helps reflect light.
Other Design Features
Textured Wood Finish Cabinetry
Our textured wood finishes are popular for providing durability with an organic touch. They are easy to maintain and provide a luxurious look. Matching toe kicks, molding, and backboards are used throughout to provide a completely built-in look. Simple flat style cabinets and drawer fronts suit the contemporary design.
Countertops & Hardware
A gorgeous thick countertop with subtle veining was chosen to offset the darker cabinets and hanging areas. Dark hanging rods, knobs, and cabinet pulls blend in with the textured wood finish and gives a luxurious feel.
Plenty of Storage
At the heart of all of our closet designs and plans, it is a goal to help our clients maximize space for all of their items. This project features plenty of hanging storage, drawers, shelves, and cabinets. At the end of the island is a sturdy bench with built-in shelving for additional shoes and sandals. It’s the perfect place to put on and take off shoes. The closet island is perfectly stationed in the middle of the room and has drawers on both sides to maximize space. Lighted upper cabinets ensure that wall space is used efficiently.
