Maximize Your Summer Closet Space

As summer rolls around, it’s safe to say that you’re no longer wearing your winter clothing. If you have been struggling to find space within your closet, there are some tips to maximize your space within the different seasons.

Closet Organization

When you have spare time, it’s a great time to run through your entire closet and figure out what clothing you think you’d be wearing throughout the summer months. A lot of the time, we find ourselves keeping jackets and other outerwear from the winter season in our closets even though we have no desire to wear them for the next 5 months. Clearing out all unnecessary clothing frees up a lot of space in your closet and makes it much easier to navigate and find what things you want to wear.

Storage

The best thing to do with your winter clothing stores them in bins and stash them away until the cold starts coming back. Some common areas to store clothing could be on the top shelves of your closet, or in a garage storage area. If you lack any of these and think that adding this to your home would be beneficial, you can reach out to the professionals at Closet & Storage Concepts to find a storage solution that fits your needs.

Donate

Another great alternative to maximize your closet space is to consider donating clothing you no longer wear or no longer think you’ll wear. There’s a good chance that if you haven’t worn a garment in over a year that you’ll probably not wear it this year. Take this opportunity to donate good condition clothing to a local shelter or donation center to free up some extra closet space and to give your clothing another life.
